Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester’s all-encompassing venue for business, sport and leisure, has further cemented its standing in the exhibition and events industry, with two new recruitments.
The stadium, which boasts an award winning in-house events team, has appointed an Event Sales Agent and Business Development Support, to help source and secure new clients.
Gemma Ashton, Event Sales Agent, has joined from Principal Manchester and will be helping to sell Emirates Old Trafford’s event spaces, a challenge she’s looking forward to.
“The opportunity to work in such a fantastic and dynamic venue really drew me to the role,” says Gemma. “I’m looking forward to getting to know my clients better and tailoring our bespoke packages and proposals for them.”
Zoe Foster-Arnold, Business Development Support, has joined Emirates Old Trafford from The Renaissance Manchester City Centre Hotel. She will be helping the department to source new business opportunities, create contacts, organise venue visits and respond to enquiries.
Zoe said: “I’ve always loved this venue, especially since attending the ‘One Love’ concert, so when I saw the opportunity come up I knew it would be a great step in my career. I’ve always wanted to be more proactive in sales, so this role is perfect.
“I’m really looking forward to working with my new colleagues, helping to bring in new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients, to maximize revenue for the Club.”
As part the reshuffle, Jessica Gore has moved from Event Sales Agent to Business Development Executive. Alongside Nicola Pinder, Senior Business Development Manager, Dan Whitehead, Corporate Sales and Business Development Manager, and now Zoe Foster-Arnold, Jess will be helping to develop new business for the venue.
The appointments now take the Conference and Events team to 12 members, across Business Development, Sales and Event Organisation.
Angela Hodson, Head of Sales at Emirates Old Trafford, is delighted with the new-look team. She said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Zoe and Gemma onboard – the conference and events side of the business is continually growing and these new appointments are another example of how far we’ve come.
“We’re proud to already have a large portfolio of high-profile clients, including Amazon and Google, but to continue as a leading venue both locally and nationally, our sales and business development roles are crucial.
“We’re looking forward to seeing what the future has in store at Emirates Old Trafford!”
